If there\u2019s one thing that ruins the aesthetics of your outdoor spaces, it\u2019s moss. It is extremely frustrating to see patches of green moss taking root in the cracks of the driveway or between the tiles of the deck. Although settling moss may seem harmless enough, it can actually become very slippery in wet winter conditions. Not only is it unsightly, but it can also cause you to slide easily and cars passing over it may suffer from reduced grip. ;<\/p>\n
Additionally, manually removing moss using tools can be a tedious and very time-consuming job. So what is the best way to remove moss from a driveway? Daniel Scholfield, director of The Expert Gate Company and landscaping expert, presented a simple solution that \u201cworks like magic,\u201d and you probably already own the product. To do this, you need the bleach of your choice, baking soda or white vinegar, water, a large bucket, a spray bottle and a stiff-bristled broom. To kill moss in your driveway, dilute baking soda or white vinegar with warm water in a bucket. Transfer the solution to the sprayer to facilitate distribution of the preparation between the slabs or on the driveway. Spray surfaces invaded by moss. Be sure to evenly distribute the \u201canti-foam solution\u201d to all affected areas. Leave it on for about 15 minutes to kill the moss. Try not to leave the solution on for too long, however, as it could discolor or dull your driveway.<\/p>\n
Remove anti-moss solution from treated areas and driveway with warm water and a brush. Do not hesitate to iron several times to remove the product everywhere. Wait a few hours for the solution to continue to work deeply. Next, use a stiff-bristled brush to remove all the dead moss. It will take a little force, but the results will be worth it. The expert said: \u201cOnce all the moss is removed, you are left with a perfectly cleaned driveway, like new.\u201d<\/p>\n
