\nPreheat Oven & Prep Onions: Preheat your oven to 375\u00b0F (190\u00b0C). Carefully place the sweet onions, peeled and sliced \u00bd inch thick (keeping the rings intact), into a parchment-lined baking dish.
\nSeason & Roast Onions (Initial): Drizzle the sliced onions with the extra virgin olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper to taste. Place the dish in the preheated oven and roast for about 20-25 minutes, or until they begin to soften.
\nPrepare Cream Sauce: While the onions are roasting, place the heavy cream and white wine into a saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Heat until the cream begins to simmer gently around the edges. Once it simmers, remove from the heat and set aside.
