We\u2019ll explain.<br \/>\nREM sleep, the unsung hero<br \/>\nThis sleep phase acts somewhat like the regulatory center for our nights. It improves memory, stabilizes mood, and helps manage our emotions. In short, this is when our brain puts things in order.<\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s not all: during REM sleep, our body produces an important hormone, ADH (antidiuretic hormone). Its role? To reduce urine production during the night, precisely to avoid\u2026 having to go to the bathroom.<\/p>\n<p>The problem: if our sleep is disrupted (stress, unstable habits, screen time, etc.), this hormone is secreted in smaller quantities. In reality, each awakening violently disrupts your sleep cycle. This naturally regulates ADH production.<\/p>\n<p>Create a relaxing ritual.<br \/>\nA warm bath, soft music, or slow breathing\u2026 Give yourself a moment of peace before going to sleep.<\/p>\n<p>Focus on moderation.<br \/>\nReduce water consumption 1 to 2 hours before bedtime.<br \/>\nEat a light dinner at least two hours before bedtime.<br \/>\nAvoid coffee and alcohol after 4 p.m.<br \/>\nTake care of your bedroom environment.<br \/>\nA cool, quiet room, free of screens and blue light (neither television nor phone), is the foundation for restful sleep.<\/p>\n<p>One last tip: listen to your body.<br \/>\nGetting up every now and then is nothing to worry about.
