Even the brightest kids can be coerced and persuaded to participate in stunts that threaten to have terrible repercussions, because kids are vulnerable to peer pressure and other similar pressures.<\/p>\n

Just ask the parents of Tyler Broome, an 11-year-old who experimented with the YouTube trend \u201cthe roundabout of death\u201d and suffered terrible injuries.<\/p>\n

Yes, the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know, but for Tyler, it wasn\u2019t so much a risky prank as a way to impress his friends with his bravery.<\/p>\n

After being exposed to extremely high gravitational force (G-force), the 11-year-old suffered injuries similar to those seen in fighter pilots.<\/p>\n

In the \u201croundabout of death\u201d craze he participated in, people sit in the center of a play roundabout while the rear wheel of a motorcycle spins it rapidly.<\/p>\n

Shortly after the incident, Tyler was found unconscious near the roundabout, likely with brain and eye damage. He reportedly experienced G-forces typically only experienced by astronauts and pilots.<\/p>\n

Tyler and a friend were reportedly at a nearby park when they were approached by older children who challenged them to a game.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t recognise my child, he\u2019s about to have a stroke. Tyler was sitting on the roundabout and the boy who came was about 17. Tyler doesn\u2019t know him, they\u2019re not friends,\u201d his mother Dawn said. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe puts his motorbike down, drives around the roundabout so fast. When they all stopped, the group just walked away \u2013 it\u2019s bullying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dawn said that before they could start treating her child, hospital staff had to do a search because they had never seen injuries like this.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe injuries were so bad he looked like the Elephant Man. They\u2019ve never seen him before, they\u2019re going to do a medical report on it.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis head is completely swollen, his blood vessels are burst, his eyes look strange. His vision is blurry. You can deal with a broken arm, but this? He doesn\u2019t remember it, he doesn\u2019t remember the details.\u201d<\/p>\n
