Prepare the chocolate: Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it in a bain-marie (just fill a pan with water and place a bowl with the chocolate on top). Stir occasionally to ensure even melting.
\nPrepare the cream: In a saucepan, heat the cream without bringing it to the boil. Add the icing sugar and vanilla extract, then pour everything into the melted chocolate, mixing well.
